Following its debut on iPhone 6s in September 2016, 3D Touch has since been a regular feature of all iPhone models, except the inexpensive iPhone SE and the new iPhone XR. As useful as it is, 3D Touch could be completely phased out or replaced with Haptic Touch across Apple’s 2019 iPhone lineup.
